Clubhouse

The Clubhouse at Kings Norton incorporates a Grade 2 Listed Hall which has been extended since the Golf Club obtained its lease in 1967 so that it now provides extensive facilities for the enjoyment of Members and Visitors.

The original house was built circa 1750 by James Mynors. His ancestor Robert rebuilt it in 1884 together with the outbuildings we see today. Weatheroak Hall was the family home of the Mynors for 150 years from 1785 to 1935 when the estate was acquired by the Bournville Village Trust.

The Mynors’ family crest over the front door reads “Fac et Spiro” – Act is Hope. Maybe they had the game of golf in mind?

Weatheroak Hall houses several elegant welcoming areas in which members and visitors can relax during their visit.

The Members Lounge and bar has a choice of informal or dining seating areas and provides direct access to the patio, which overlooks the putting green, golf course and manicured gardens.

The Mynors Lounge and bar has a cosy informal atmosphere and gives direct access to the Ballroom and Galleried Hallway and is often used as a cocktail lounge for events.

We have recently refurbished the snooker room and have created a games room, our games room is a place where members can eat, drink and socialize while watching the latest televised sports events.

In the games room we have a full size snooker table, pool table, darts and you can play your own playlist of music or watch the latest sports action whilst enjoying a few drinks from our well stocked bar.
